The USGP of Cyclocross made it's debut in Colorado with the 3rd stop in the series being held in our own backyard here in Longmont. The Xilinx Cup was my first try as the master 35+ category and it turned out to be an eye opener for me. 109 guys lined up for a 45 minute slug fest that proved to be too fast for me. After getting through the multiple crashes at the start of the race, I settled in and focused on racing within myself. The humbling experience had me finishing in 76th and getting caught by the leaders just before the end of the race. Blue Sky had great representation today with folks in many different cats, and as usual the Blue Sky women were up to the task and left with two podium spots.
