Longmont Crit -- A Confession

Today was the Longmont criterium. Since this race is in our backyard, the team wanted good representation at the race. I finally pulled it out and lined up with the 35+/4 boys and went round and round with Mr. Hole Shot, Bryan H., Mike O., Brad E., Horacio G., Dave K., Jason K., Dave J., Doug H. I was very nervous before the start and spent most of the race surfing the back of the pack. Yes, I know, this is not the best place to be in a crit, but it gave me a chance to get into the flow of the race. The good news is that I kept the rubber side up and was able to hang with the main group the entire race. Bad news? I had a real good time! Who woulda thunk it?
After our race, Annalise flew the Blue Sky colors in the Kids race which consisted of one lap around the course. Good times!
