Packed up the family and headed to Winter Park this w/e for some single track racing. Winter Park #5 was a 24 mile epic ride that included over 2,000 feet of climbing (click on race profile above) to over 11,000 feet in elevation in the first six miles of the race. I had a great start to my race and was feeling real good on the climb and was able to hold 4th position for about the first hour and an half of the race. Then the lower back gave out and KABOOM my race went backwards fast. Nursed it in for 17th place in a time of 2:36. Good times!
Here's me trying to get some dude on the line who didn't see me coming. He looked over his should just in time...
