CX States Recap

First and foremost, I big THANK YOU to everyone who braved the weather on Sunday to come out and cheer! Truly EPIC conditions and all season long the Blue Sky Velo cross crew has really stepped it up. Blue Sky Nation was in full effect at States and I can't tell you how motivating it was to hear the cheers at different points on the course and especially through the WALL at the playground. I was always able to dig a little deeper each time through knowing that you all would be there.
A Special thanks to:
My Bride and Family - Thanks for putting up with me and my passion! I know with without your continued support this would not be possible. You all are the best!
Mr. Podium Boy - Thanks for showing up to countless training rides and pushing me and keeping me honest. See you in the 3's next year sand bagger!
Blue Sky Cross Team - You guys ROCK! Thanks for coming out and representing -- especially the newly coverted ROAD geeks!
Oskar Blues Brews and Bikes - Thanks for bringing the awesome brew to the races and being a
part of Blue Sky Nation.
Mud and Cowbells - Thanks for your passion, Wednesday Worlds, and your cheers on Sunday! Kick some ass in Belgium!
Blue Sky Cycles - Thanks for keeping my rig running and race day support!
As for the race, it was nothing but good times. Mr. Teton set up a challenging course. The start was especially critical with only two ridable lines. It was chaos and those early season bump drills really paid off. The new Tufo Flexus hooked up in the snow nicely and I was able to keep the bike upright the entire day. Not easy on this day. Mostly I tried to stay calm. The legs and lungs felt good and everything seems to be lining up for Nationals.
