The Boulder Short-track series kicked off tonight. What a sufferfest with temps above 100 at race time and a little wind thrown in for good measure. I raced in the men's "C" race with fellow Blue Sky Velo teammates Dan, Tom, Rob, and Greg. I had a great start and was able to get into 2nd position just after the whole shot. I was able to maintain my position for the first couple of laps, but got caught by a Louisville Cyclery guy mid-way through the race. I gave it some effort to stay on his wheel, but wasn't able and finished the race in 3rd. Got a box of Clif bars as some schwag. I think this is the first thing I've actually won in a race. Cool beans. Dan had a great ride and finished 8th, with Tom a couple spots back in 10th.
