Today was the second UCI race of the weekend, the Boulder Cup, and was held at the park just east of the South Boulder Rec Center at the base of the Foothills. Wind was the word of the day. That and make sure you line up early. During warm ups I swung by the start early with about 25 minutes to go before our race time and there was already more than 50 people lined up. I cut my warm up short and got in the back of the line. The race itself went pretty well. I was able to sit on wheels when we were going into the wind and I attacked the hills. Got pulled with a lap to go because the leaders were about 2 minutes back. Lame. I can understand if you're about to get lapped, but that far back. Just like yesterday the results will tell one story and how I felt will tell another.
Getting behind the big guys and staying out of the wind...

Draft and then attack the hills...
