Last night was the 8th and final installment of the 2006 Boulder Short Track Series. Going into the race I held a very tenuous four point lead in the in overall standings. I had a great start and was in third place going into the hole shot. I quickly moved into second place and was feeling good. Then it all fell apart. Coming out of the trap I took a corner wrong and went over the handle bars. Got back up only to discover my chain was off. After getting my chain back on I jumped back into race only to crash again before the first lap was over. Ended up finishing 16th and dropping to third place in the overalls.
