Interlocken

This weekends CX stop was at one of my favorite courses -Interlocken. This is a mostly grass course that favors power riders. I have always done well here and was feeling good going into the race with a very hard three week build in the bank.

Blue Sky nation was in full force.
Dan and I unveiled the Dickie support crew overalls.
During warm-ups I was feeling loose

The 35+ open group was the biggest this year with over 55 plus of the fastest old guys around. I had a good start and was around top 15 heading into the mud crossing/run-up.

Still feeling ok going through the sand and barrier section.

After the first lap everyone just started passing me. I just couldn't match their speed. Well, not everyone passed me. There was still eight out of the 54 finisher who didn't catch me by the end.

Thanks to all who came out and provided support.
