What's for Dinner? -- Soylent Green

For some reason I was thinking about the movie Soylent Green last night. Maybe it was because when I looked into the fridge all I saw was processed food. Maybe it was because Annalise was complaining about the dinner options and I replied, "then we'll just have some Soylent Green", to which she replied, "what's that?" Maybe it was the Lou Dobbs article on how "Our leaders have squandered our wealth" and the talks in Washington about a 150 billion aid package and the fed lowering rates 3/4 of a point with another 1/2 point likely. What a bunch of morons! But I digress.

For my younger readers who weren't born when this classic futuristic movie came out and have no idea what I'm talking about, you can watch the entire movie here. Only 15 more years!

While I do agree with article linked, its hard not to also blame the American consumers as well. Too many people got greedy on mortgages, buying too big of a house paying only interest and taking the instant gratification of cheaper ARMs instead of slightly higher fixed rates.

American consumers and their over consumption coupled with rising debt levels are just mirroring the government.

OK enough with this political/economical stuff, lets talk about bicycles more...
